HELP! FW FLOUNDER !

so a few days ago, i was staring at my fishes [like you all do]... and i noticed my FLOUNDER was up on the side of the tank..

and when i took a gander...
i saw that...
the lil buddy hada RED DOT on its face.
this is the farther pic.

and this is closer~

i really wanna know WTF this is...

and how to CURE it..

its a really cool weird fish.
and i'd kill someone.. if it died~

for started add some sea salt, these guy are supposedly brakish

id do 2 tablespoons per 5 gallons

and dont forget those water changes!

I have no experience with them, but is the dot a sore? Do you have any sharp gravel or pointy decorations that he could have bruised himself on?

ulcer thats what i meant. you can treat them with a few meds, jungle has a few, or give it a salt bath

and honestly i have VARIOUS TYPES OF GRAVEL in my tank...
he couldn ahve gotton hurt.....

yes i do have some SALT in the tank, being that it is brakish.

Melafix possibly? Not sure about it's use on flounders though..
