HELP..getting fumigated on short notice

I am military and live on base and they just gave us notice today.

The guy from the pest control company said that they were using Vikane and that it would kill everything, but it would not penetrate the water which doesn't make sense but whatever.

My question is, how do I go about this, do I try to transport my fish in my tanks in rubbermaid containers or do I leave them in the tanks and seal them off with garbage bags and duct tape?

We will be out of our house for 2.5 days.

the literature on Vikane suggest removing the Fish, Take your filters, Fish/plants/invertabretes in a Stock tank(Rubber maid Container) Offsite. water is a barrier to the gas, but it will saturate which is why you need to remove the fish so they don't breath it.
