help! Hap with protruding sore...

He Is happy, healthy, eats well, water is fine...

Looks like a viral tumor to me.
Really not much to do about it other than keep the environment clean and feed quality foods. Hopefully the Haps own immune system will suppress the virus & the tumor will slough off.

Yes I agree too this is a normal viral tumor, my goldie also had this, I had gone crazy after seeing that but I was relieved after finding out that this is not Ulcers as they are very common in fish.

Is soar still present there then you can treat with metronidazole, also sold as Flagyl. The most effective treatment method is medicated food, but if the fish has stopped eating, metronidazole can be added directly to the aquarium
