I received four of this little one from Peru, but still can not identify them.

Does anyone have an idea :D

Thanks

Your right, that is a tough one.
Id say its in the Aequidens genus. Sorry, buts thats all I can narrow it down for you. Probably one of the more rarer species.
Its very nice looking.

Looks like a Black acara, Aequidens portalegrense.

well, I have a pair of c. portagrensis, and they are typically more of a reddish color, or a dark blue if it is c. bimaculatum . . . I was thinking the fish above was a yellow acara, a. metae

below is a pic of a. metae that I cribbed off a bing search (original source was MFK) . . . try a search on "aequidens metae" or "andinoacara metae" and see what you think

Metae aren't from Peru though.

I'd lean towards a port rather than an acara, and since C. bimaculatum isn't from Peru either, I'd go for C. amazonarum. The unpaired fin pattern screams port to me, but the caudal spot should be more prominent unless they were still a bit stressed in the pics.

Thanks for your answers.
I have no idea, but they are still small.
Anyway, in Peru they are called Bujurqui Peruanito. I've been inclined to Bujurquinas, perhaps the B. vittata, by the yellow color

The Bujurqui Perunito is Aequidens tetramerus. Try researching that.

good point, although if one isn't sure about the name of the fish, I wonder how sure one can be about the port of origin . . . Peru and Columbia do share a border, wouldn't be too crazy of a mix-up

still do think it is some kind of andinoacara (formerly aequidens). . . and based on the purported origin (Peru), then a. tetramerus sounds like the best bet . . .

They came from Peru, no doubt.
Now, sometimes this exporters have also species from neighboring countries.
The tetramerus pleases me greatly. I have to investigate more about them.
