HELP hitchhikers on live rock

i just bought some liverock 2day and i noticed some worm-like critters crawling on it i cant find my camera 2 take a picture otherwise i would but they are about an inch long red and have like white bristle things all over them, what are they and are they bad ifso how do i get rid of them

you got it, they are bristle worms, i like them they are good at eating crap,i also think they are good for the rock as they keep all the small holes open,having said that some one will chime in and tell you why there bad,

Don't mind if I do.:)

Bristle worms are fatal to clams. If you really need to get rid of them, here's a great way to trap them: roll up a small 4x4 inch sheet or half-inch polyurethane foam and stick a bit of smelly mussel or shrimp meat inside. Tie the foamtube with some string (not too tightly) and leave it in the tank a while. The bristleworm will find the meat and stay there because they apparently like the snug fit. Fish him out.
