I got this little guy at petsmart which was sold to me as a JackDempsey for $2.50 with pals card but I knew it had to be some sort of Flowerhorn/Texas

Now that it's put on some size it's starting to show some iridescent blue body.

Would this have potential of becoming a blue diamond FH?

I know it's hard to say without lineage but any close shot in the dark will work.

Same thing happenes to me, i bought a jd but turned out to be a flowerhorn. That has the body of a fh but the head looks diferent

Kamfa. Not going to turn into a "Blue Diamond" FH. I'm assuming you're talking about those ZZxKML that are coming in from Cali. However, only time will tell if it will become a stunner or not.
 
Not expecting it to be some baller FH but it's looking completely different from all the others I've seen or have from petsmart.

This thing has a full body sheen of the metallic color.

Hoping it comes out super nice!
The other PK I have has a really nice red tail and body already and it's about twice as big as this little 1.5" one.

Looking very nice!

Mine has the blue going into his tail/dorsal fins as well though. Regardless I'm pretty stoked about watching the progress of this dude!
I will be moving out the other fish this weekend and will changing the overall diet of the tank to help it's growth.

Out of Flowerhorn for awhile, sold all of the ones I had. In about a month gonna grab some Lyonsi and Citrinellus and will need the room.

Yeah I saw that lol. Are you planning to try to create your own FH's or you're just going towards more natural cichlids now?
