HELP i dont know why My Parrot just died!!!!

hi ppl,
my bp just died but i dont know why?
there was nothing wrong with him until a few days ago when he just faded in colour and then yesterday i came in to find him upside down on the bottom of the tank. so i did an emergency set up of a 100 litre sick tank for him using the water he was already in but sadly he passed an hour or so later...i understand it could have been stress that finally bumped him off but i knew he wasnt going to make it...he was in a tank with 2 frontosas and a clown knife, he was also 6 inches long...so im also aware it could have been old age. but i had only bought him a week ago for £50

if anyone could spread any light on the matter it would be much appreciated

sorry for your loss, i hate to break it to you man! £50 is ALOT for a parrot of any size my LFS has them at 4" for £8 a pop.

OH MY GOD!!! hwat an idiot i am!!!
i no they were a bit on the expensive side but im such a fool!!! at least i admit haha.
well i just got him diagnosed and it was gill disease and my others look like theyv got it 2, i got 4 fish from that place so if they peg it im going for a full blown refund. iv only had them 2 weeks now so that means that chances r they had it before they came to me and all the other fish that were in that tank more than likely have it aswel.
il send my gran in to complain, people just ignore me when i do coz im a girl..but my grans scary lol.

What does gill disease look like and what cause's it do you know.

i think it can be caused by stress and over crowded tanks. but mine had a 2 hour trip to get to me so could have been that. i think it make the gills look coroded and they have like a browny mucas in and around them
