help i have a question

i have a yellow kenyi and a blue kenyi both same size about 4 inches each , i hear males are yellow, females blue .
well my blue 1 is turning yellow? its actually 1/2 and 1/2 !
whats going on???? it just started turning yellow a day or 2 ago. heres my male and female before then female before then male before last 3 are the blue female now and all pics were taken within a mths time.

if it is changing colors is subdom male, or dominate female fish. Most likey male as well.

they arent in same tank anymore havnt been for 3 weeks i only had in same tank 1 day to see if got along they liplocked a lot so i seperated them

Then I would say they are both male, what else is in the tank with the changing color one?

nothing all alone. but i had them about 6 mths each it was blue till just few days ago. i didnt males were blue and would yellow, i just thought they were always blue f male y

id say they are both males then. what size tank? and what else is in there? beautiful kenyis-ive never had any luck with them, they are too aggressive for all of my fish.

they are both in seperate 30 gl tanks alone

so its just those two kenyis in one 30 gallon alone? weird. just keep an eye on them as they get bigger (and kenyis do get a pretty good size for mbuna). they might get aggressive with eachother and you may have to separate them.. like i said, they are beautiful fish, but i had one large female beat up the entire community of 180 gallons and my 9 inch male Venustus.. she had to go lol..

They are all blue when young, then turn yellow as they sexually mature.

changing sex as everyone says. some do it earlier and really small some do it when they are larger. I have a 3" one right now that just not changing to yellow yet ive had 1 1/2" fry that change.
