You can add crushed coral to the filters or as the substrate to raise ph. I wouldn't really mess with the ph though. If your fish are fine, 6.5 is perfectly fine

I have crushed corral i just recently started using melafix to treat my JD fins and my fluval 405 stopped working bc the perpelar was broken so i transferred all the filter media into an aqua clear 110 while i got replacement parts for the fluval. May transferring the media into a new filter cause the sudden drop in PH??

If the tank is overstocked, and/or you are overfeeding, the fish urine and gunk in a filter can cause pH to drop.
If your tap pH is 7.8 and your tank is 6.8 , maybe you are not doing enough and the right volume of water changes.
If you do 1 or 2, or whatever amount per month, you should try doubling the frequency and amount and see if it makes a difference.
If you only clean your filter once per month, you might try doubling or tripling that up too.
