I think my gourami has scale rot and or dropsy I have him in isolation and treating him with an all in one by marineland he seem to be doing better but he is two days away from meds cut off can I use it after the allotted time or what's the next plan of action

Welcome :)

We'll need tank details, water parameters and photos to be able to help you. If those are provided people here should know what to do!

Post ur water parameters. Pics as well.

I'm housing him in a one gallon hospital tank for now.I rescued him and his brother from deplorable conditions about a week ago lost the 1st yesterday and now this 1 showing symptoms of scale rot. I've done frequent water changes scent condition was found. followed instructions on bottle of all in one for treatment. He's got a bubble filter w/o Carbon filter in it I do an 80% water change daily then add meds he's acting better that when first discovered illness. I'm just afraid if I stop meds he won't make it. That's him in his glass jar while I change his water.

And I keep his water temp 70-78 degrees F

what is purified water? is this distilled or simply filtered water? If this is distilled water, then that will be a problem to the fish since they require some minerals in the water. You would be better off using hard tap water that has water conditioner added to it.

Would test the water with a liquid api test kit of the tank it was in. Just to get a rough idea of what’s going on. Gotta check the water it’s in now as well. Would keep the temp up at 78 degrees and not lower. Would add salt 1tsp per gallon and try triple sulfa.

Not sure about the Marineland all in one but since started it then try it for several days and update the thread/post.

It's filtered water from windmill water stand. And I got my water tested initially and realized that the water was hard and that could have stressed him. And I will keep his water warm thank you for telling me. Is this regular salt we are talking
