I had 4 Ocell. Peacocks and now I am down to 2. they are about 2” and I put them in with a 4” tiger Oscar. I took the 2 out and put a divider in the tank to separate them. What can I feed them to help them grow faster. I know it is going to take some time , I just want to help them as much as I can.
Thanks,
Robert

did you lose the other 2 ocellies previosuly from the oscar, just give it time
more water changes and lot of small meals will do this

Optimally you'd buy guppy feeders and keep them in small tanks for a week or so, feeding them quality flakes often before you feed them to your pbass... And lots of water changes.

whats the rush.... power feeding.... is the key...lol, for now definitly put up that divider.... how big are they in comparison?

Definitely lots of small meals, rosys, black worms, krill etc, bump temp up and do lots of water changes.

haha.
i had the same problem.
currently my small pbasses are in a tank full of guppies so they can free feed.

If you really want them to grow fast, the best thing would be to put them in their own 30g for now so they arent stressed. After that, feed them gutloaded guppies (no goldies), krill, bloodworms, and occasionally beefheart. Also, the more water changes the better. If you can do 2 20% changes a week, good. If you can do 3, better. I have found that this is the key to growing fast, as it takes the growth inhibiting hormones out of the water.

thanks for all the feed back. i did put the divider in and I also bump my temp up. i dont have another tank to put guppies in right now. i went out a got some guppies and put them in so they can free feed as they want to.
thanks again,
robert
