Hello. I own a 29 gallon tank and under that is where I'm placing 10 gallon sump. There for here is the plan.

The tank would have the DIY overflow that WILL BE 1.5 ins. right now all I have on my is a 2 inch pipe, T, and the 90's. But I'm having a U shape inside the tank then it will have 2 90's leading it out of the tank with another 90 headed to the T the bottom of the T will lead to the sump. Sents right now all I have on my is 2 inch will this work for now. I only got one reply about this and the guy said that it will but I just want to make sure.

Another question is if I'm Using a 10 gallon and on the left and right side there is room for both the return and intake of the water. If i make the center area have the live sand 1 good size live rock with short algae on it then have a 2 inch slide on each side of the wall to place one of those flat white crate things with the sqs. into the cuts of then center chamber then another one in side a 1 inch slide both having algae growing on it. this is so they will be easy to remove when its time to cut the algae and all of it can get light for a good period of time. So would these plans work or what. this is just a temp. fix I'm planning on using a really large tank to make a very large sump thing.

also what is the diff between a sump refuge and a wet dry filter
