HELP I THINK IT'S ICK

I just add one more new dino eel to my tank and for some reason i woke up and saw that he or she has some patch of white suff on the side of it. I'm thinking it's ick and if it some thing else now please help. DID IT AFFECT ALL HIS TANK BUDDY YET??

ich = lots of white tiny dots

patches =/= ich

it might have scraped off some scales, or scratched itself? One of my polys has a white patch on it, but I'm pretty sure he just got the jitters as I walked up to the tank and scratched off a few scales.

I agree. Minor abrasions with tank decore can leave small 'white' patches on their bodies.

If your water and your tank is clean, then you have nothing to worry about, the fish will recover its color and slime coat.
