ok, i have a single 5-6inche female flowerhorn in a 30 gal tank, she been in there for almost a week now. i didnt fill the tank all the way with water, left probab a few gallons, (cause i was still about to put gravel and stuff in it) she was fine the entire week. but when i decieded to fill the tank up all the way with water. she started swimming on top of the tank, then she wont move from the corner, now she kinda tilting!!!help, what did i do wrong?? i added cycle(bacteria in a bottle, just a few drops with the new water added) and used warm water!!

Did you pre-treat the water to get rid of the chlorine/chlorimines?

How warm of water?

What kind of filter?

Aeration?

we need more info

post the following:

heating
filtration
how long has the tank been set up
what fish you have in the tank and how long they have been there

get yourself a liquid test kit, (not the strips)

test the following in the tank, and test your tap water

ph
ammonia
nitrite
nitrate

off the top of my head I would say that the tank is not cycled, hard to say with out more info.

omg i didnt!

the water is on the right temp

just have a penguin filter right now, im about to upgrade but im still waiting for the fish to settle in since i just got her

i have a sponge filter/airpump?

now, should i add dechlorinator???

SH****T i dont have tester!!, the guy that i bought the fish from comes once in a while to test the water. (been busy, but im really about to get things like tester, new tank, filter, etc)

the tank is been running for about a week now(we kinda cheated, i placed a used filter sponge in my filter) we tested the water before putting in the fish, and everything is fine.

she been really doing well til i added more water awhile ago!!

the temp right now is between 80 and 90 (really dont know how to read it)

i have ONE female flowerhorn in there(30gal)
