Where the Simpsons takes place
I recently bought a green terror and it has ich. It is minor though. 1 or 2 spots scratches every now and then. Will it go away itself without chemicals and meds? If I turn the temp up a bit will it go away no problem? I've been researching this question all day and there is no answer :( hopefully you guys will have one.

You want it out of your tank, if you don't treat it one day it will return when you miss a water change and potentially claim some lives. If you are adverse to chemical treatments typically warming your tank to 86 degrees and leaving it there for 7 days will kill it. There are two prominent forms of the ich parasite. one form(the most common) dies at 86 degrees, the other form dies at 90. I doubt your fish would handle a 90 degree spike very well, but I don't know terrors very well.

I just turned it up to 88 degrees hopefully that will do. so your saying if I turn up the temp all the ich will be gone?

Raise the temp by 2 degree increments daily until you reach 88-90 degrees. The ich cannot survive in that temp and will die. Also some salt. Thats all u need.Keep that temp for no more than a week. You should be fine after that.

I agree.

I also have used malachite green to treat the Ich and it doesnt stain the plastic parts of the tank. With the Thermoterapy your fish should be fine within a week tho.
