help id fish

can someone tell me what fish is this. the guy who gave it to me told me it was some kind of malawi, but it looks more american. it is double the size of my fish in my com tank, that has red devils,gt's,dats,cichlasoma nicranguense. is this fish aggressive? will i able to add it ,or rather give it back?

What size tank do you have and what is your exact stocking right now? Are you experienced with CA cichlids? I already have some concerns with your current stock when they reach adulthood...

i am not very experienced. i am in the hobby for 7 to 8 months now. i have a 4 foot tank looking to upgrade to a 3 meter long tank very soon. i have 5 red devil/midas, 5 gt already had two lots of babies from them, 3 datnoids, 3 cichlasoma nicaraguense, 4 clown loach, 5 yellow lab and 5 frontosa. i know i need to have the africans and the loach seperate. i am working on that at the moment. so far for 8 months they are all living fine. the fish are all still quite small except for 3red devils and one male gt

Wow. You need to thin out your existing stock substantially before you even consider adding anything new.
