Hi I'm new to this whole flowerhorn thing, I recently went to a LFS and saw this fella for $5.99 and I was wondering if you guys can SEX/ID what type of FH this is.. and does it have potential

Hard to say exactly what he is, but all I can say is that he has Red Dragon in him.

Does the word "he" mean anything to you? Or do I need to pull the dictionary?...hahaha...I'm sure you understand from here going on about identify your fish gender. Very nice fish and keep us updated also.
And how can I tell, boy...this is one of the hardest explanation to do. Well first of all, slim and long for that size(which usually dictates as a male IMO). And the physical shape of the body just tells it all. To truly understand how to really describe this, best to search through all the males and female flowerhorn you can find at all sizes and just compare them. You'll understand it in no time just by looking at it.
