Help! ID for this payara

Hello, everyone I am sorta new here, well I been here many times but never posted anything!
Anyways I need help with ID for this payara. I bought this guy online for $70 and description said its a redtail tat.
I was hoping his a redtail tat, but after some research i am keep thinking it's a scomb, his only about 3-4inches.
I hope i did not pay $70for a scomb...

That's no tat,scomb for sure.Hopefully you can get some satisfaction from the seller...He either flat out lied to you or he didn't know what he was selling.
 
How big did you grow them to?
 
Nice,you just don't see very many large Scombs.
 
My lfs has the largest scomb I've ever seen! It's probably about a foot. I'm goin there this weekend so I'll get pics but they're asking a rediculous amount for it. Like $160 at least
