got to of them. i just got them off a friend who said there gts. they have no colour on the top fins but the ends of all fins have that white look on the tips??? help id.

Pics will help, but it may be hard to id them this way, but if they have a black line going down their face across their eyes, they're probably an Acara. White tips might mean that you have a White Saum.
I believe one of the systems that Blue Acara are located in produces very slightly different shaped pulcher, with white tips. They also have much darker body stripes I've found.
