Beautiful bleheri! Very jealous. So everyone is thinking they most likely aren't bleheri? I bought some "somewhat" floating plants yesterday that cover one quarter of my tank so hopefully those will make the snakeheads a little less stressed as they will have a place to surface for air. Also these channa are still hiding for the majority of the time and don't come out of hiding when I'm in my room a lot except for one of the channa always hangs out in a front corner and does not mind me getting close. This channa seems less shy and he is the one pictured above that is almost white with no markings. I've noticed over the past few days the back half of his body has begun to turn orange and no longer pale. Almost seems as if he is turning orange from the tail towards the head but I have no idea about this or what it means. Any idea's? and how long will they usually spend hiding for before they become less shy and start making apperences in my tank?

any more opinions? as well I decided to leave the aquariums lights off for the day today to see if it will let them settle in a little more. I also replaced one of the 2 clown loaches int he tank (the other died a few days ago due to jumping out of the tank before I got the channa and built a solid cover. He's replaced and so far the channa are fine living with these two 1 1/2" - 2" clown loaches.
To be honest, you have been told what they are.
If ANYONE could give you a correct answer it would be PASCAL!

Also a side note, just looking at the pictures are you using crushed coral substrate?
If so what is your ph? A high ph could be a factor in the washed out look of your Channa.
The tank that houses those Bleheri I posted earlier is under 6.5 and is stuffed full of Kattapang leaves.

I believe Patrick has been dealing with this issue. To be fair, we also have the exact fish photo on the live stock section. Channa is very easy to be mis-label/mis-ID. We received the shipment from India and they were labelled just at that. To be sure, we also spent our time taking an exact fish photo so our customers will be able to judge themselves. You will not find any internet copy and paste or download photos for our live stock. I am sorry you feel that we are sending you a different fish. It is important for us to find out what the fish is, and it is also important for the customer to find out as well. I am sure you have seen the photo of the exact fish otherwise you will not know we carry this type of channa.

Channa are new to us. Our main imports are South American L#, stingrays, oddballs, as well as African Tanganyika fish. With that reason, that is why we always use our own photos.
Patrick took care of this problem for me and I thanked him for everything as well as thank you Charles! None of this reflects the company at all. You guys were great to deal with and have an amazing selection of fish. As well I can tell the channa were well cared for and professionally packaged. They weren't quite the channa I was looking for but I will most certainly take good care of them and I will keep my eyes open for when you guys get another shipment of bleheri from the other supplier.
