help id my fish :)

ill keep it plain and simple, what is it i know its a flowerhorn but what kind? male or female? friends say its a female but iv never seen eggs or a tube drop, and it gets in fights with the male fish.... the kok is, well it isnt there but its slowly getting bigger... could it just be a late bloomer? picked it up for 25$CAD i little less than a year ago. dont mind my cat that sleeps in the sink after licking it dry

Good quality female zhen zhou red dragon. The spot in the top dorsal is a indication of female. If there isn't any nuchal hump development by now there won't be much. It's all in the genetics.
