Bought a pair of “blood parrots” but yesterday I saw a post of a midas and it got me wondering if I do have blood parrots or midas.

The picture attached is my male

Blood Parrots are not a real species, they are simply mutant red devils, that are line bred to accentuate deformities.
In any BP spawn, some fry will somewhat revert back to the normal, non mutant form.
They are very much like balloon goldfish, that also revert back to a healthy normal form, if left to their own devices.

Thanks for the Input.

They laid eggs yesterday so hopefully the male isn’t sterile. I loved their color so I had to pick them up.

Might cross the female with my carpintis male.
