Just picked this flowerhorn up. About 4 to 5 inches long has color but is pretty dull. Any thoughts on what he or she is?

I am going to change out the gravel to a brighter color and replace the background with a brighter one and hopefully he or she will show some more color. Any ideas on sex of this fish. I have it in a 90gal alone except there is a breeding pair of albino bn plecos that I cant get out of the tank as they stay inside of a fake root thing. Hopefully I can catch them out of there spot and remove them soon.

Honestly doesnt even look like a flowerhorn, could be a different kind of cichlid.. If its a flowerhorn its definitely a female.

New pics I can confirm he is a male but still not really sure on what kind of flowerhorn? I have come to realize he wont get a hump as he close to 5 inches already. What do you all think? He deoes more reddish pink fins and tail then the photos show but its pretty light.

Looks like a low quality red dragon flowerhorn to me, not much pearling, hard kok, color is a little dull. With a good diet, color may improve alittle, beside that there’s really not much you can do.

looks like a classic zz. I like it, it looks like the first gen flowerhorn back in the days.
