Help ID my friends fish

I agree a better pic is needed.
We need to see the entire full side view of the fish, including the caudal area (tail)
it looks a little like a Belontis signata (AKA comb tail anabanid) to me, but without seeing the tail an important ID factor is missing
or it also looks like a climbing perch, again, the tail helps to determine the difference between the two, if it is one of the two
