I picked this guy from Petsmart early this morning. I am not sure what type he is but I got him as a common:nilly: which I know he isn't. I have been looking online and read on a few sites that he may be a L-001/L-022 Goldspot sailfin:headbang2 but I'm posting here for some clarity. any help would be greatly appreciated. More pictures will be posted later as he becomes more comfortable and the move is finished. (yes I know the tank is dirty but I am also in the process of moving :irked: so I haven't been able to clean like I want to. My fiancee saw him when we went to get feeders and she loves plecos so I picked up the one in question and a juvenile L-56.)

I have never even heard of Fantastic Fins honestly and I'm never in the Livonia area. I usually go to Fish Doctors but they were closed when I went for feeders.

Its a very poorly looking L001 goldspot, petsmart have a very poor track record as far as fish go, and i'm affraid you seem to have picked up another example of this.
hope he makes it for you

fish doctors is for 2 year olds and debutante

Agreed, I have one of these they are great fish and quite strong. Keep up with the regular water changes and feed lots of veg and he might just pull through. Here's some great species info. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=177
Here's Mine as a baby for comparison

I definitely hope mine turns out as beautifully as yours. My little one is really hanging tough though. I just did a water change, and I've been feeding him cut zucchini, what else would be good for him?
