help ID my new gar

i moved some of my fish around so i could get him before someone else did.
he was the last gar the petshop had.

that's a Florida/spotted gar. from the looks of it, you'll have to upgrade sometime soon, as he already almost touches from front to back from the width of the tank (at least given your pics). depending on your filtration/water change schedule, the tank is going to be overstocked in bioload as well if it isn't already. nice fish though--
