Help ID my Pleco.

It is a Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus . Under the right conditions it could get up to 24 inches.

It is similar to a Pterygoplichthys pardalis but a Pterygoplichthys pardalis has a circle like pattern on it's belly where as a Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus has wavy lines.

Hard to tell from the bad pics but I would guess sailfin (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps), they grow to 20"+
It is not a sailfin. Sailfins are brownish orange in color. This is more black and gray.
maybe not, I'm not sure its a Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus though. Looks like the bulk of the "plecos" you see at chain stores.
Exactly and what do you think a Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus is? ... it's a common.
There are 3 plecos sold as commons:
Hypostomus plecostomus The original common... which is not so 'common' anymore.
Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus and Pterygoplichthys pardalis have replaced the market for common plecos and grow much larger.
A Sailfin is considered to be the cheapest of the fancy plecos. Which can be bought at nearly any store as easy as a common. The price is higher(about double) of a common.
