I need help identifying my new bichir. I bought it with an endlicheri. They're both about 2" long. It has two marks near its tail, ihas an upper bite, and is covered with grey spots on the dorsal side. Help! Thanks. :)

That's definitely a delhezi, poor markings but still this one looks pretty unique only the tail has it... Anyone else here agree?

I would say most likely.

The fact that it is 2" and the tail markings would leave me to believe it is cb delhezi with poor markings.

Nice fish nonetheless. Delhezi have great personality.

Definitely a captive bred del. They tend to have less markings like yours but are still a cool fish. Nice pickup for $2

No they don't lose their markings. You should be able to keep both bichirs together indefinitely. The endli will get bigger but won't rpose any threat to your del.
