Well, it did indeed look like a fish, I would say closest would be some sort of snakehead, although one could also think a bit of arowana-like. Anybody has a better id?
As it turns out, it was a remarkably unusual fish-like paint-peel accident on the bumper, where the paint flaked off just so to look fish like. If I were the owner, I would add an eye, and perhaps a suggestion of a gill plate, just for kicks.
It did not go unnoticed that it was a Subaru (our kind of people), and we saw it from our own Subaru behind.
