Help ID the Cichla...

LMK what you think he is... (Bought as Cichla sp. Brazil) I have a 2-spot one and another 3-spot one in there also.

He is getting spangling in his tail already, and he also has red eyes sometimes.

I'm going to have to go with mono. The black circle isn't a full circle, it leaks out. Orinos aren't like that.

Ive seen pictures on google of orinos with markings like that

I think the real deciding factor was how much you payed for it, if you payed about $40 then its a moni if you payed $80+ its an orino XD

Here's a pic or a mono and a pic of a orino. The stable mono's spots are more blochy and diamond shape while orino's are more round. This isn't a 100% way not much of a 100% way to id them when this small but just my personal opinion. 1st pic is a mono 2nd is orino i circled it with a ghetto paint job lol....
