I got this from a LFS recently and was told it was a congicus, However it has since been 2 months and the strips has yet to appear.

Can Anyone has any idea what type of bichirs it is?

once it settles the pattern will come in more, some individuals take longer than others.

yup congicus for sure. i can see some very faded stripes. sometimes some individuals just have light stripes. pretty good looking that way if you ask me. and the contrast could change a bit too as it grows.

Thanks all for confirming the bichir ID. I was worried there that it might be some other type of polypterus as I does look like a lap.

Now that It idnetity has been confirmed, I have more trust of the Local Fish Shop(LFS) I got it from. Thanks You
