Saw this guy at a Petco under a rock in a cichlid tank... been there for 3 months and was extremely skinny with a huge head...
I just had a hospital tank running with melifix, pimafix for a jag who had some fin and fungal issues on the healing end and i had just done a water change yesterday and the jag was looking good... neways back to the catfish...
I am at petco looking for deals on the clearance rack like another 402 powerhead for $4 or some hikari food for .80cents... my son is looking in the tanks and lets me know what he see's...
was extremely beat up and i didn't think it was going to survive... bought him for a mislabeled price of 2.99 thank you!...
acclimated him to the tank and popped him in.. he immediatly scarffed down 2 shrimp pellets and appeared to be extremely hungry... i gave him a little beefheart and he ate that too... i was like hmmm.... i stuck in 4 baby convicts from my growout tank and this morning they were gone...
its belly is 5X bigger and i am leaning towards a giant bumblebee cat but the marbling isn't quite right... also the face is littered with what appears to be ich but it's not...
any clues would be greatly appreciated...
