HELP ID this guy !!

I don't think it is a common pleco but not sure what kind it is. Please help me ID him !! thank you all in advance.

Do you know how much it is usually worth? and can you give me a lil bit more specific information. I just tried to google "Gibbiceps" and it showed me a lot types of pleco.

Oh. You could be right! Do they get as big as the one in the OP's pic? PC says 12". Could be.

I got two in my 180. not quite 12in but probably about 10in. I said not a gibby cuz the pattern on the body of the OP's pic dosnt look like a gibby to me.

I agree... it's an L001. It's not a gibby. Sailfins are orange in color and have a bricklike pattern.

L001's are almost black and white and are more spotted-like.

L001 Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus.

Mine was sold as a sailfin with no scientific name stated. It was implied that it was a gibby, but after research I found it was not. They are very beautiful fish compared to common's and from my understanding a bit of a smaller size pleco at full growth at around 12".
