hi guys, just wanted some help to id this fella. he's brown with small spots all over his body, around 12 inches in length, a little less than a pinkie in diameter, likes to burrow and hang around near the plant or the stone in the aquarium. highly carnivorus. feeds on live guppies and anything that swims near his ambush position.
is it true that there are no true freshwater eels? if so, i got this fellow in pond in our village very far from any sea. when it rains, the pond over flows and a lot of fishes can be netted in the road, this was one of the few fish we caught.
this is only the clear headshot i can get, he hides quickly whenever i try to take a closeup shot.
