Do u know where it was collected from?

Jaw shot as well if able.

Jaw shot is a bit more accurate for ID but other option ID (based on common sense paying prices):
*if you buy it cheap from your LFS then for sure or most likely it's a malabaricus, if you paid high price from internet vendor labeled Lacerdae then there still a change it's a malabaricus or another fancy name Autralis (collected at different location/region), other spieces like Aimara or Curupira usually collected at bigger sizes.

It's definitely not curupira or aimara imo, but as for other species it's fair game without an under jaw shot, though I might add australis tend to have a more blunt head I believe.

Under jaw V shape, it's common wolf Hoplias Malabaricus.
*there is few threads in here discussing a *new type of common wolf* being available in fish market recently you should check it out, great information :P

Nice active looking Mala like yuki said.

Yea, mala, still an awesome fish, I've always had one, in any setup, I like them despite how much they're bashed about being lazy compared to other species. Mine never hid, one used to hover in the middle most of the time once it reached a foot though others seem to experience the opposite.

Where did it come from? Looks just like the CF Lacs Wes had.....

So you all agree that Wes's CF Lacs are Malas???
