At a glance I think it is a Geochelone sulcata, African spur-thighed tortoise. They get big, the record I found was 2.8' shell and 240 lb. but most don't get that big and that would take a long time anyway. here is a couple pics of young ones, one pic is by Tony Grambie and the other from the Reptile Express site. Also a care sheet can be found at this link. http://home.earthlink.net/~rednine/sulcatacare.html

Is there anything that you dont know guppy? lol

Yep, but I won't tell you what it is.

i have one just if i saw the thread earlyer but mine is 12 years old and about 50 pounds i think big gal cool but they eat alot

my fiances brother had 1 for a few years its eyes sealed shut we took it to the vet they gave it a few shots removed the bot fly gave it antibiotics gave us some stuff to soak it in it started to do better it was able to walk the right eye was starting to open again and was eating we took it back to the vet they wanted us to bring it back 2 weeks later for a check up we told them the progress they were happy gave it a few more shots and it died the next morning

Sorry about that man. Reptile medicine is a sketchy science.
