Heres a few pictures I took of my african cichlid this morning, but I saw a couple of fish that I thought were the same as others, but I noticed there colors were changing, or they developed different markings on them, wanted to see what you thought, if Im still right or maybe there something else.
Picture 1:Thought was a powder blue, but started developing strripes. Compared to my other powdder blue which is solid light blue with no stripes.
Picture 2: I know is an auratus, its the fish behind him, thoguht it was an OB zebra. But changed its coloring, and his blotches are disaperaing, compared to my other OB zebras.
Picture 3:Same fish, just without the auratus blockin him, lol.
Picture 4: Also another fish I thought was an OB zebra, but his blotches started turning into stripes.

The yellow one looks like it could be some Tropheop sp. The gray to yellow change is not odd in that case. The spots should have been more like broken vertical bars if so. It could be bad lines or hybrid that caused the spots instead of broken barring. Take a look at some of the tropheops and see if that helps.

yes, unfortunately all my LFS sells there africans as, asorted africans, the only thing he told me was that the asst africans he gets are malawis, so there are compatiable. Not to sure if that is even right, lol.

yeah I would say tropheops as well.. notice the head as it compares to the OB zebra you are sure of... different -- esp the mouth... appears to be a tropheops for sure I think

the Powder blue confused fish.. hard to tell for sure.. could be a phaeos.. but there are a number of species that it could potentially be

hmmm, ok, maybe since there juviniles, have to wait till they get little older to fully tell what they are, lol.
