Sorry for crap pic, he's in a tub in a tank since his tank mate would eat him

My wife work's at a petland, this guy was dropped off/surrendered and since they can't keep these in the store she brought it home to me.

I have a pet alligator, bunch of fish, now this little guy who need's his own tank..

But she just said Gar, I can't find pics like this guy online? could anyone name him?

Definitely a Hujeta gar, don't keep with large predatory fish when he's little, I don't think they grow very big.

yeah looked online. 10" is nothing really get him a 90 gallon tank. See if I can find a few things to live with him, but apparently the pet store lost a few fish to him. lol
