Help Identifying Catfish!!!!

just picked him up at a store where they didn’t know the name but looks kind of like a raphael catfish
please help!!!

That is not a raphael catfish but is in the species of the oxydoras catfish I think.

Think it is a irwini catfish

Looks like irwini or uranoscopus.

Irwini and Uranoscopus are larger relatives of Raphael Catfish.

based on all the research i did and with your guys’ help i’m pretty sure it’s a giant raphael cat / irwini catfish thank you guys

Yep,Megalodoras urinocopus.Lately I have been seeing them labled as some kind of Raphael which is unfortunate.Megalodoras and Raphaels are related but they are two totally different species.....and besides Megalodoras is a cool enough sounding name in it's own right.
Anyhow,enjoy your young gentle giant.They are harmless,rarely come out during the day and can eventually grow quite large....well over twelve inches in length.
