New here and yet to do an intro but asking for some help identifying a problem with my large Raphael catfish

It's a common habit with Raphael cats. Both of mine did the same thing all the time. Made it a real pain to clean the tank because they would cram themselves into the tightest places in the decor, so I always had to check each and every decoration when removing em from the tank. The striped Raphael I had had even worse scrapping then yours has, but that was just due to being in a mixed continental cichlid/predator tank.
