Hi all, i bought a batch of pleco's from a local chap closing down his tank a while ago, i've managed to identify everything else apart from this one...

I've been told he's an L066 but i have one of those already and he looks different.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

The guy i got it from said it was a L066 but it was a 'bog eye' species and that he's had it from being a baby and it had always been like that.

He gave me the plec's for free (well, as good as) so it's not like he had anything to gain by telling porkies, i also got a a perfect goldy and L066 from him along with some BN's so he also wasn't trying to re-home a dodgy or sick fish.

It's always seemed very healthy too

hmmm, that is interesting. I have personally never heard of a bog eye, but then again it is not like I know everything about plec's lol. As long as he is healthy, he looks cool!

Yeah i think you could be right, he was giving me details of where he bought each pleco and the backgrounds of them when i went to pick them up, but i was so excited about getting the fish for the price i did that i just wanted to get out of there before he changed his mind :D

Imo not a L66 or L333...I have no idea.I think the eyes are a deformity, but no harm no foul, as long as he seems happy and healthy. I'll keep searching. Nice pick up by the way.

Thanks :)

If anyone else can see past the eyes to what he should be i would be grateful :D

The markings aren't as close together as the ones on my L066 and they're more of an off-white too.
