Help ID'ing my Geo please

Sold to me as a Geophagus 'Red Head' Tapajo, but doesn't look like my other two.

Can anyone ID this little chap for me? Hard to take photos of him as he kept swimming off :lol:

For comparison this is one of my proven Red Heads, who has got a lot better since these pics were taken a few months ago, and now shows a red head, but gives you an idea. The lighting is a bit different in both tanks, better in the 50g where the juvi is, but his base colour of olive/gold is different to the other Geos.

Any ideas, or is he a Red Head too?

I should add there is a size difference of a couple of inches. This chap is such a slow grower, but he is now showing markings on his dorsal and anal fins.

What's the difference between the orange and the red head, or are they much the same thing?

They are the same fish, just red head usually sells better than orange head.

No, I live in the UK and it's very difficult to get hold of these fish where I live.

Mine have paired vertical bars and a more sloped head. Also, aren't there two variants of red heads?

there are two types of 'orange head' with the colour of the head being much more intense in the variant that occurs in the rio Arapiuns over their rio Araguaia cousins.
