Hi,

I got a fish from Petsmart about 4 months ago sold as a Green Terror. It looks very similar to all pictures I have seen of green terrors on the internet except for one detail. instead of having a continuous flowing dorsal fin, it has one fin on top, then a slight separation, then the rest of the fin flowing back over the tail. All other pics I have seen have one long flowing fin from front to back.

I am trying to get a decent pic with my digital cam to post, since I would also like to know if it is male or female (think it is male) and what if anything I can breed it with.

Thanks for any info!

It just sounds like a deformation. Sometimes fish are born with gaps in thier fins, or if a fin gets damaged far enough down it may not regrow normally. Pics would help :)

I have an arowana that had a separation in her bottom fin. Nothing did this ti here, it was just naturally occurring. It has been that way since February, and just fused together within the last few weeks.

I dont doubt he is a green terror, but pics would definately help!!
