Well, I took my chance with ordering DRIFTWOOD off of Amazon and i'm not sure what I ended up with. I received the driftwood today and as I took a close look at it, I found these tiny BB's in it. This picture is of what I scraped out of the crevices of the driftwood. I'm not sure if I should be pissed or this is something generally found in driftwood? Any help is appreciated!

K well I'm not sure what it is, it almost looks like bubble algae but that would come from saltwater, but I would say that isn't normal. Is it droplets or little round greenish black sacks?

I always give all DW I get a really thorough scrub with a stiff brush and boil it for about 4-5 hours to kill off anything nasty and also remove tannis, never come across this tho, have you tried a google search?

I tried googling it but didn't find anything.
They are actually some type of metal material because I tried smashing them. I don't know if it's metal deposits or what.

They were just shipped. I haven't used them yet. The Amazon post said "can be user for aquariums". But this concerns me.
