Hi i have 2 mbuna in a tank. I was worried about them reproducing but someone told me he think theyr not the same species. one of them for sure is a socolofi, but the other one im not sure.
can someone hee help id him? and also do you know if it isnt a socolofi, will they be able to breed?

It doesnt look like anything I recognize, maybe some type of zebra and female. Even if they arent the same species they can still breed. Any mouthbrooder can breed with another.

If this is the fish from your other pics, I withdraw my callainos I.d., this fish doesnt look as blue as the other picture you posted. It's definitely not a socolofi.

Maybe a Maylandia Callainos (Blue Cobalt)? Not in particularly good shape.
