I just purchased a flower horn male kamfa two weeks ago, about to make it's transition to his big 90 gallon home. I have him in a holding tank for the time being.
I got one for $20 bucks here in the chicago southside, some stores where selling it for $100-$400 dollars depending on the size. The size i got was a 2 -4 inches for $20 bucks. I think i got away on a steal for the kamfa aka JUB JUB.
He's got nice body, purple, light green, red color to him. Pictures up in my blog. Feeding him blood worms every other day for the last two weeks, hikari cichlid staple growth diet. Looking for more information on this hybrid fish. I googled it, got some basic information on the flower horn, before purchasing. I really dig this fish and I am happy that I obtained one for a fraction of the price.
Moving him to a 90 gallon at the end of the month once the tank has properly cycled. Very excited! Any notes, advice would be greatly appreciated!
