Hi there.

I have a 8-9 inch female senegal. About 5 months ago I got a small albino senegal. S/he was about 2.5-3 inches and when I introduced them the bigger senegal bit the front fins off of the albino. Thankfully the albino has healed up and regrew his/her fins back. My question is that now that the albino is about 4 inches and bigger all around should I try again? I know very little about the personality and behavior of multiple senegals and not certain if this is safely possible. This would be in a 4 foot 125 gallon tank by the way with cichlid tankmates. It is a pretty mellow tank.

Thank you for any thoughts.

I would take the bigger 1 out of the tank for a week and put the smaller one in. Then after a week, put the bigger one back in. If the big one doesn't feel like it's his territory and the smaller one was there first, perhaps there will be less aggression.
