I just bought a used 75 gallon tank and filled it up. The left side is flush but the right side both corner arnt. They stick otu about 1/8 in no leals so far is this ok or should i worry

Its fine, id bet 90% of tanks are off atleast a 14".

your fine..

i really hope you mean 1/4".. ;) sounds ok to me though.. i wouldn't sweat bullets over it.

Is at least part of the frame (the plastic part that goes around the glass joints) securely on the stand? As long as the frame is supporting the weight of the glass evenly, then it's fine.

That's what you are talking about right? Or do you mean the water level is off by 1/4" when you look at the water level at the top? (i.e. tank/stand is uneven) Just trying to clarify so I understand exactly what the problem is :)

What i mean is when i take my hand and feel teh corners the left side is smoth no deviations, but the right side has a slight lip or ridge to it. the previous owner had no problem but i have had it in storage for close to a year since being deployed and just finished moving back into my appartment. Any one else able to feel a ridge on the tank where the glass connects?

Maybe you can post a close up picture of what you are talking about? Sounds to me like it's fine. If you have it empty, you can always try to make it even on all sides, like..1/8" on both sides, instead of flush on one side and 1/4" on the other.

I believe the OP is describing how the tank is assembled and sealed. Instead of the front and back glass meeting the side glass "corner to corner", the side glass is slightly inside the corner.

My higher quality tanks are near perfectly flush. My lower quality tanks are all offset.

Sounds like you're ok to me!

Since it is a used tank just watch it.
