Thanks guys I'm gonna rescape the tank a bit once he heals up. There's a narrow passage behind one of my driftwood pieces that he loves speeding through when he thinks I'm about to feed him. I'll bet my bottom dollar that he just caught his eye on the wood cruising through there. The lights are off when I leave for work but it did look a bit better than last night. Because he still has the gash on his head I did about a half dose of melafix just to help him build up his slime coat a bit. Still can't decide if I think that stuff does anything but make the water smell good.
