This morning Iwent to check my 2 baby lmb. they all looked fine so I fed them. they ate like monsters. at noon, I check on my fattest one and saw that he had a "long fleshy bump" that the sid of his mouth where te mouth begins! it kinda looks wart like. What happened? Is it a disease or did the bass somehow injure himself? I also noticed that one of his pectoral fin were injured by a bite. the thing is, that bass is te dominate one so it doesn''t get bullied. the mouth "wound" isn't bloody or anything. What happened to the mouth? did my bass injure his mouth when it grabbed for food or in a fight?? I ofen have a tendancy to feed it large talapia chunks. could it of dislocated it's jaw and that "bump" was just part of its jaw?

I feed my bass: hikiri carnivour pellets, talapia, hikiri algae pellets and worm sinking pellets.

I also noticed that my temp is up to 86 degrees!

what happened to my bass??

is there such thing as tumors in the mouth? how do fis get it? is it contagous?

If i was you I would get pictures and post, also i would add some melafix until a proper diagnoses can be made. Do you have a heater in the tank ....if you do unplug it for a while.....if not point a fan at the tank.

I did. the bass has his tail fins clamped and he is floating beside my filter uptake. pics are very hard to get since the muth is so small. basically, it like a "grey tongue" that hangs sideways at the mouth.

not choking. just the thing hanging from the side of it's mouth.

my camera sucks so it doesn't show the lump. does anybody know what possible disease a "lump in the mouth" would be? it's not red or anything.

I don't know of any diseases that it could be. Maybe a tumor?
